Church Musician / Choir Director
Scott United Methodist Church, a historic African American congregation in Denver, CO, is seeking a passionate and talented Church Musician / Choir Director to lead and enhance our worship experience through music.
We are looking for someone who is experienced in playing and directing music rooted in Gospel and Spiritual traditions, and who understands the power of music in uplifting and connecting the congregation. The ideal candidate will bring both musical excellence and a heart for ministry.
Responsibilities may include:
Providing musical accompaniment for Sunday worship services and special events
Leading and directing the church choir
Selecting and coordinating music in alignment with the worship experience
Rehearsing with choir members and musicians as needed
Collaborating with church leadership to support services and programs
Qualifications:
Experience as a church musician and/or choir director
Proficiency in piano and/or organ preferred
Strong knowledge of Gospel music and Spirituals
Ability to lead, teach, and inspire a choir
A collaborative spirit and passion for ministry
